I had a jag in this system.
Don't wait. If you want one get one. I loved mine.
yep--i remember it--you gave me a lift more than once.
bill ,a non witness is killed driving home after work, providing for his family.
he left behind his wife and 3 kids all under 8 years of age.
armageddon comes the very next month.

i wanted a jag in the new system.
in my area, a lot of young people don’t want to have kids.
they get married young from 18-22 years old, and think that they know how they’re going to feel the rest of their lives about having children, (which they think will be never).
i respect people who don’t want to have kids, there are good reasons not to, but i think it’s foolish at a young age to think you will never think differently for the rest of your life.
my born-in dub wife didnt want kids, she told me one day that sister so-and-so had died as a result of choking on the afterbirth.
she suddenly changed her mind about starting a family--telling me she thought her father would like a grand child.
she is still a dub. well suited to it.
after observing my jehovah's witness friends and family members for over 50 years it became apparent that the vast majority of "the brothers and sisters" pick and choose the rules and laws that their church/organization what them to follow.. tough the society may state these admonitions as definite "do's and don'ts" many of the church followers put these admonitions in the the "grey zone.".
the reason being jehovah will give them special dispensation.
yes, for some odd reason jehovah will cut these people some slack for the same things he must punish others for.
back in my late teens--the late 1960's---the general unspoken idea for courting couples was it was ok to play--but no penetrative intercourse.
in the first few years of my marriage--i had to pray out loud at bedtime.
( i dont think " for what we are about to receive may the lord make us truly thankful" would have gone down too well. )
what did you make of the conventions i used to dread them.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6bhlhtbaos.
what our dub parents put us kids through back then would now be considered child abuse in the UK
is it something they do?
how they say things?
how do you spot a jehovah’s witness?.
if you see 2 people walking very slowly from house to house
or they stand chatting on the doorstep for ages when no-one is home.
what did you make of the conventions i used to dread them.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6bhlhtbaos.
last biggish one i endured was at the old Wembly stadium--London UK--about 1969 or 70 i think. it rained the whole time. it was trully dreadful--i vowed--never again.
and never did.
do people simply leave because the site has given them what they wanted?
are they now infrequent lurkers?.
did they go back to the watchtower?.
i dont suppose theres more than a few dozen who post frequently on here--say more than once a week.
ive noticed quite a few stop suddenly--over the past few years. yet other from years back suddenly kick off again.
some days i wish i could stop reading.. but i suppose i still need my ex dub fix .
as jesus christ was preparing to go to his death, he encouraged his disciples with these words:.
"in my father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, i would have told you.
i go to prepare a place for you.
Yawn.
Its beer oclock already
do today's elders ever meet with inactive members and pressure them to write a letter disassociating themselves from the congregation stating that, ''you no longer wish to a jehovah witness"?.
i was baptized at the young age of 16. after turning 18, i stopped attending meetings, field service, and all jehovah's witness activities.
i wanted to be with my high school friends, go to rock concerts, have a girlfriend, and live like a normal teen.
i bet the members of the governing body laugh their heads off when they read threads like this.
like a bunch of squabbling girls.
